My dog barks and will not stop, when I get home.. or whenever I let her out. When she is outside… she runs in circles… BARKING… I can not get her to stop! If I go out there.. she barks louder. I end up yelling at her.
She is making everyone crazy. I have tried a bark collar.. it did not work. There are tons of toys out there.. she perfers to DIG!
I work all day, so she is home for 5 hours with our other dog. (Who does not bark !!)
Is there something stronger then a bark collar? Maybe a cattle prod? Or will that be too strong?
BTW… She is a pure bred German Shepard, and has been doing this for 3 years, but it is getting worse!

my dog barks at the littlest things. she has this high pitched bark that i jump every time she barks. i tried spraying her, she still doesnt stop. can you help me? it drives my family CRAZY!
im not really in to that stuff but my dog barks his brains out everyday when hes outside. been getting warnings from tenant here and eventually ask me to get rid of my dog. is there any alternatives? i rather use the collar as a last alternative. my dog is 14 months (also have a 2 month old that is followign in the same foot steps since he watches him bark all day)
my dog does have plenty of exercise, they get taken for walks 4 times a day and my dog jogs with me in the evening. the boredom part i cant help much since he already has a companion and when we’re off to work, cant really take him with me.

My dog barks every time someone comes to our door or walks by our house. We have tried everything, from attempting The Dog Whisperer’s techniques, to putting a muzzle on him when he barks, and using a device that sends high pitched sound waves when he barks. None of it seems to work, and now my parents want to use a shock collar on him! I’ll do anything, but I do not want to use a shock collar!

My dog barks all night long… He is a great pyrenese ( really big) and driviing the neibors nuts! Anyone tried some thing and have it work?
Our neighbors informed us that when we are not home late at night our dog barks a lot. I do not want to use a shock collar, but rather the spray collar that just sprays citronella instead of delivering a shock.
What I want to know is do collars react to any noise a dog makes, or just barking? Our dog makes a lot of yawning noises and other chewbacca-like noises that are not loud at all, just more like her trying to talk. I do not want to discourage these behaviors because I love the chewbacca noises, I just want to end the barking. Will the collar react to any noise vibration or just the loud barking?
She is trained and will listen to commands. The problem is that she ONLY barks at night when we’re not home. She can’t respond to commands if we’re not home, hence a bark collar.
And I want a spray collar not because I think shock collars are cruel/abusive, my dog is very… simple minded, and I know she would think that we hate her for using one. She’s just not that bright and very sensitive. I have no problem with shock collars, I just know it would traumatize her.
I live in an apartment complex and management sent everyone in the complex a note stating that someone filed a complaint about someones pet. They listed a bunch of thier pet policies (which didn’t pertain to us) then the last sentence said that if any tenants pet is found to be an inconvinience to anyone else living in the building, that tenant will be billed extra to thier monthly rents. Then today one of my nice nieghbors informed me that my dog barks ALL DAY LONG and maybe someone complained about him. I really don’t want to lock him in our bathroom while I’m at work, but I can’t afford an extra a month and possible eviction. Can anyone please give me some good advise?
I just bought my friend’s dog from him because they weren’t treating her very well. They’d put her in a kennel most of the time, randomly or as a punishment. Also they’d yank her around by the neck and stuff thinking it didn’t hurt her even when she was yelping very loudly.
When she was over there though he frequently had visitors and she never barked at anyone.
I brought her to my house when my roommates were gone and she was clearly happy and is practically attached to my hip now. When they got home though, she kept barking at them, and she still does whenever they get up and move around. I keep having to show that they’re friendly, have them pet her, or feed her.
Biggest problem is that I work 3-10pm and they work in the morning until 4pm. When they get home and I’m not there, the dog barks at them for 30mins to an hour straight and it gets on their nerves. Also, when they wake up at 6:00am and get ready for work she barks at them too, which wakes me up every single day.
Any solution or training tips?
Now this may sound mean or bad or even selfish but I want my dog to bark at my fake grandpa. What I mean by fake grandpa is that he is my mothers stepdad. I call him fake grandpa and not step grandpa is because I HATE him so much. If u knew who he was u would totally understand. He absolutly gets me mad. There is so many things I hate about him I could make an essay which I am not goin to do. Anyway, then I got this dog I love so much, he’s a yorkie. At first when I got him he was friendly to everyone in the house except him, I had no idea why but I enjoyed him barking at him all the time cause then he wouldnt have any contact with him. Now I enjoyed him barking at him so much because to me im not able to show how much I hate him but if my dog barks at him every time he gets near him it makes me feel like hes showing my anger to him by barking. After three weeks he stopped barking at him. I didnt like this one bit. Then maybe about another two weeks my FAKE grandpa started touching him and you dont know how disgusting he his in hygiene. Then one day when my dad was feeding him some chicken bones at the table at dinner time my fake grandpa did so too. But he was nibbleing at them then was giving it to him. To me this crossed the line I was so furious. You would puke if u saw how he kept his bathroom downstairs. His toothbruch and everything else is in bad condition.Alot of stuff may be goin threw your head right now but I want is help from you people. And I dont want to hear oh your so mean and blah blah blah, I truly feel guilty thinking this way but its how I feel about him he doesnt make me happy in anyway. Im asking for help on how I can get my dog to bark at him and dislike him again. how can I get my dog to bark at someone I do not like?
if my i get my dog to bark at him he will nad im sure of it will only bark at him. my dog is too nice to be barking at people in public. like i said when i first got him he barked at him and no one else and i had no idea why so its okay if i get him to bark at my stupid fake grandpa again, just please help i didnt ask for a lecture from you people.

i have 3 dogs and one shock collar and one collar that makes the loud noise. only the shock collar makes a difference but its not enough. my neighbour is still complaining. he states that we never do anything about it. it is at the point where one of us stays home all day… we take it in turns to be here and we dont leave them outside on there own. my next door neighbour has a maltese that is constantly barking yet we dont complain because we know it isnt easy to control dogs like that and he claims we are the only ones in the street with barking dogs! i dont know what to do anymore.. even if it isnt my dogs barking we will still get the blame
please dont judge me and assume i havent tried to train them. they have all been to an obedience school they have all had a trainer and it is costing me a fortune because as soon we get home and another dog barks none of the training means anything. my oldest dog is 4… this isnt something i have been trying a few months. its 4 years.
