My dog barks at other dogs. He is not being aggresive, he is just playing but I want him to stop.
My dog’s are indoors 90% of the day but they love to go outside in our back yard to play. When I leave them outside, my male dog barks nonstop at everyone who walks by our house and every noise he hears. It is so annoying. Someone recommended a bark collar or a bark machine but I don’t want to hurt him. Any recommendations?
Do these things actually work? My dog barks at nothing most of the time and the neighbors are pissed. I wont use a shock or spay collar, so I was wondering if these things really work? And please, no smart ass comments about take ur dog in and train ur dog cuz he doesn’t like to come in and I’ve tried to reward him when he’s quiet. He just likes to bark.
My 9 month old GSD/Husky dog barks at other dogs on TV!!!! Hehe, it’s really cute- but late at night it doesn’t work too well. We don’t let him get away with it at all because we don’t want to confuse him.
I tell him to hush, which is his command to stop barking. Then, after that he does a quick "ufffff" sound- that’s his "warning bark" to say "hey, I’m here".
Anyway, how can I fix this?

Help, my dog barks at the slightest thing, she can be laying in her bed and will hear a noise outside, it could be the slightest of noises and she starts barking and won’t stop for ages, if she hears foxes outside she starts again and she also runs at the front door throwing herself at it til we wake up and send her back to bed. Her barking is driving us mad, any advise will be appreciated.
Sometimes my dog barks for absolutely no reason…how can I teach him to be quiet when I want him too? He hasn’t been responding to "quiet", we have been saying that to him everytime he barks and we have even held his mouth shut and told him to "be quiet!" but he doesn’t seem to understand. well, my dog barks at everything it sees. another dog outside, mailman, anyone at the door, my sister when she runs, any sports ball that can roll, etc.

My 9 month old puppy Zoe barks for no apparent reason. This morning at 6:30 a.m. she started barking. I looked out the window and saw nothing. She has 3 other sibblings to play with Bandit, Riley, and Bailey so I know she is not lonely. She is very friendly and tries to jump on me when I go out to play with her and feed her. Sometimes she starts at night with this nuisance barking and I am scared the neighbors are going to call the PD. I was told to try a collar that makes a sound that dogs can’t stand which will sound off whenever the dog barks or a shock collar. I would never use a shock collar but what about the collar that makes a noise when they bark?
Oh my puppies are Shih-tzu and Lhasa Apso mix
