In this daily dog training video, I am teaching my dog to bounce as he is heeling a long side of me and trying different toys and things to get the best result. I like all exercises to be spirited and the dog using his energy into the behavior. Off leash control is acquired and maintained on this video by using the ‘Sit Means Sit Collar’ which can be found at www.sitmeanssit.com Franchises available www.franchise.sitmeanssit.com
Everytime someone comes over to my house, my 5 yr old female pug barks insanely. The fur on her back and neck stand up and she looks terrified. This happens with anyone, she is fine if I visit a friend’s yard and sees the same people. She also does not like strangers in the park, store, etc. The funny thing is, she seems to like when people pet her, even the people she barks at. She’ll calm down and wag her tail while they pet her, then go right back to acting crazy. Whats up with this? What can I do to make her stop? She doesn’t seem agressive, and she has never bitten anyone or any other dog…in fact she seems to be quite happy to meet other dogs…mabe a little nervous at first. I just don’t understand it, I’ve had her since she was a puppy and shes a very pampered little girl, never been abused. Thanks for any help or suggestions!
When in her yard Ellyn has to be constantly vigilant and take precautions with her dog, “Daisy”, because “Daisy” is always on the prowl for deer, fox, geese, or groundhogs to kill. So Ellyn would use a spiked collar and always tie “Daisy” during the barn chores. NOT ANY MORE! You too should expect your dog to behave at least this well! The experts, whose schools and classes Ellyn attended, said to use food and clickers and to barter with her dog during disputes over contraband. They used a prosthetic hand on a stick to cowardly test “Daisy’s” aggression over food. Bad knowledge, bad technique, bad science leads to BAD RESULTS. Her dog just got worse as a direct result of all these procedures. For forty plus years I have tested animals with nothing more than my BEAR HANDS. Only then can an accurate and proper analysis be made. TAKE IT FROM THE BITE MAN. Watch the next video when we get into the meat of the matter. Jeff Loy: Dog Training – www.jjLoy.com

My husband and I have a Beagle that spends a great deal of time outdoors because she isn’t house trained. Whenever a person walks by with a dog, our dog jumps up and down, scratches the fence and barks/howls at them. What can we do to stop this behavior?
Our dog has already ungone "basic" training and knows simple commands and was crate trained as a puppy. But she’s stubborn and sneaky, which is why she’s outside more than inside (and the fact that we both work). So now that’s been established, is there any advice for this problem other than take her to training?
