Whenever someone knocks on the door, my pitbull who i recently adopted (he’s 6) a few months ago, goes nuts and wont stop barking and wont back away from the door. So i pull his choke collar, he keeps barking n he’s manage twice to acidentally nip me pretty good. Whats the best way to break this?
So my 2 year old Aussie/Corgi is an amazing dog and very sweet, except when I’m gone. When I come home from being gone for a couple of hours, I walk into a house that’s pretty much in shambles! I look on the floor and she has chewed up all kinds of things! She will take things from other rooms bring them in the living room (where the front door is) and just tear things up! I can’t even walk out to my car for a few minutes without her barking the and scratching at the door the entire time. I don’t like to put her in a crate because she will bark the ENTIRE time I’m gone. I use to live in an apartment and when I would leave I would put her in a crate. One day I came home and my next door neighbor put a note on my door telling me to make my dog stop barking/yapping because she did it the whole time I was gone. So when I started leaving her out while I was gone she would only bark for a few minutes but tear up everything she could reach. Needless to say I just need some help on fixing the chewing and barking problem!!! Please help me someone!!!
My dad wants to put a shock collar on my 3 month old puppy because she won’t stop barking! I keep telling him that he shouldn’t do that and its not right for her but he won’t listen. Please give your honest opinion on shock collars for this situation. The person with the most back up on what they think will get the 10 points. Thanx.
Every time someone comes to visit my dog starts barking at them and won’t stop. She is a 6 month old german Shepard. And tips or websites to help her stop barking?
My dog is 2 and a half and won’t stop barking! We’ve tried for A G E S and he’s unstoppable!
Many people recommend bark collars. Done that with expensive and cheap collars, it doesn’t work. Others recommend lightly taping him on the nose when he’s inside but he tries to bite me. When he’s outside, he doesn’t do recall, he has "selective hearing." He also barks an awful lot at the cats and chases them.
Anyone got any ideas on stopping his barking that doesn’t include expensive bark collars?
Thanks in advance
Hi, everyone. My dog continues to bark sporadically throughout the night. I’ve given him water, food, I always leave him to do his business outside before it’s time for him to come inside and go to sleep, but he continues to bark. I’ve even left him some toys to bite on and play with during the night, but he still barks. I want to know what exactly a Citronella collar does to make the dog stop barking. I’m not into striking the dog to make him stop barking so don’t suggest it.
Thank you.
i have a duchound dog..and everynight he barks like crazy…..and my dad has to get up early in the morings to go to work….how can i make my dog stop barking
My Astralian shepherd puppy won’t stop barking and it gets on my nervous! We have tried the squrit bottle and putting money into a waterbottle and she still barks. We don’t want to use the collar. She loves barking at the cat and if we walk into the room. We have also put a sheet over the crate at night but every thing we try dosen’t work.
Go to www.asseenontvcenter.com for more info on the amazing Barkoff. This pocket size device emits an ultrasonic sound inaudible to humans that immediately gets your dog’s attention and causes him to stop barking. Sit on your porch and quieten your neighbor’s dog. Great for home and outdoor use.
I have a poodle that just won’t stop barking whenever someone walks in front of the house, a leaf blows, etc. I told my mom that we should get a collar that shocks her when she barks (I think I’ve seen something like that…) My mom thinks it’s cruel, and I can’t say that I don’t disagree. Is there anything I can do to get my dog to stop barking?
